     Our Butterfly Releases?     

"The release was perfect--thanks to your concern and efforts.  We had at least 150+, double the crowd I expected (a real mix of young families and older couples--even several wheel-chair bound individuals).  The Five Senses Garden was a perfect place for releasing the "ladies" (there's even a small creek that flows nearby); and the ceremony (both music and words) brief but poignant, evoking many tears. An older gentleman who was releasing in memory of his wife was delighted to save his butterfly to bring home and release in his own garden. There was a very nice article on the front page of the local news section of the paper, so I am gathering some memorabilia to send your way.  Can't thank you enough for all you did to make this possible.  Based on response prior to and at the event, it will be an annual affair and possibly held next June in three separate locations in the state.  Will give you plenty of lead time! Pinnacle Health Hospice ordered 225 beautiful Painted Lady butterflies for their first fund raising release in 2001.  The next year, 2002, Judy had three separate releases at three different locations across Pennsylvania and ordered 600 Painted Lady butterflies! We have just heard from Judy and this year the figure is 750 beautiful Painted Lady butterflies!
